Your First Food

Your whole family gathered around you as you tried your first food, Gabby-goo. You weren't so sure about it at first, but after a few bites you were really getting the hang of it! I think you're going to like meal times from now on. :)

Flip Practice

You don't have it down yet, but you're getting lots of practice going from your tummy to your back these days. When your arm doesn't get in the way, you do great! I caught most of your latest flip...here you are, Gabrielle!

Got 'Em!

You are reaching for everything these days, including your newly found toes!

I love it! Every time I set you down to change your diaper, you instantly lift your legs and reach for your toes. This is one of my favorite milestones because you look so darn cute doing it. Not to mention I get some great shots of those luscious thighs.

As much as I love watching you grow up and reach these new milestones, I'd sure love for these moments to last forever.

Look at that concentration though! Keep it up and you'll be walking before I know it!

Snow Much Fun

We finally got our first real snowfall! So...after the thirty minutes it took to get everyone dressed in their snowsuits, we went out to enjoy it. You were in a hand-me-down snowsuit that was a little large for you (your arms and legs only made it about half way to the ends), but you were warm and happy.

With a little help from me, you made your first ever snow angel. Thank goodness I snapped a shot of it right away because Rockne wasted no time romping right through it with his soccer ball in tow.

Your sisters were very excited to take you on your first sled ride. You just sat there, taking it all in (or you just couldn't move). :)

I love this picture of the three of you, it captured the moment perfectly...it's an instant classic!

Four Months have Flown By

You are an incredibly happy and content little girl, Gabrielle. That sweet smile of yours lights up the room. You love to talk, and we love to listen. :)

At four months old, you are 25 inches tall and weigh in at 16 pounds, and 1/2 ounce. You're testing your vocal cords often, you hold your head up well, grab things with your little hands and bring them up to your mouth. You're getting good at tummy time, and you try with all of your might to sit up on your own...but your little muscles just aren't quite up for it yet.

We can't wait to see what the next months bring! Keep growing, our Gabby-goo, but take your time; there's no rush!

Girl Cousins!

Out of all ten of your cousins, only two of them are girls like you. You met Abigail at Great Wolf Lodge over Thanksgiving. This time, you got to meet your cousin Sage on our trip up to Grandma and Grandpa's house. 

You met your Aunt Dayna and Uncle Lucas too, but you were pretty focused on baby Sage the whole time...and she was locked on to you too. I think she was wondering what you were hiding in those cheeks of yours.

Only two months apart, I think you little ladies are going to be close growing up. There's lots of fun in your futures!

I'm sure your older sisters will want to be in on the fun too. They're already trying to "help" you two play together.

First Snow

We had to drive all the way up to Michigan to experience your first snowfall. All bundled up in your Irish snowsuit, you stared at the white world around you. I hope you get to experience a winter wonderland like this at home too, but at least you got to see it here!
