The Second Triplet is Here!

Your Aunt Dayna and Uncle Lucas were proud to announce that baby Sage Hadley Briggs was born last night at 6:52pm (Pacific Time)!  She was 6lbs, 15oz and 19 inches long.  A perfect, healthy little girl!
We are so excited to meet her and to introduce you to her and your cousin Jensen since you'll all be so close in age (the triplets!).  :)  That probably won't happen until Christmas, but hopefully Skype will allow us to at least catch a glimpse before then!

Only ten short weeks until you are due to arrive.  We've got a lot to do until then!  You've got some major growing to do and I've got some major preparing to do!  It'll be here before we know it, though, and soon it will be your little eyes, nose and tiny fingers we get to show off to the world.  :)

Adirondack Traditions

This trip up to the Adirondack mountains is a family tradition, one that you will be a part of next year!  It's our last big trip before you get here since it's getting close to your arrival date.  :)
You couldn't quite feel the water for yourself, but I know you enjoyed the cool, refreshing sensation as I waded into Fourth Lake.  I'm sure you'll dive in and love it just as much as your two older sisters do.
Daddy loves hiking and took your two sisters up Rocky Point by himself this year.  He can't wait to add you to his hiking crew!
Even your brother Rockne got to come this year!  He definitely had the time of his life.  There's so much up here that I can't wait to share with you - swimming in the lake, hiking the mountains, boating with Daddy, getting ice cream at Northern Lights, the list goes on.  We hope to have you baptized up here in the same small church that your two sisters were baptized in.  :)
Hurry up and get here, we want to share all of this with you!!  Only 10 weeks to go!

Entering the Third Trimester

We've made it through two trimesters...one to go!  I can't believe how quickly time is flying.  Just last night I was looking down at my belly and thinking, you are going to come out and be your own little person soon!  I can't wait to see how the dynamic of our family changes when you arrive, little girl.  :)
Daddy and I are still trying to find the perfect name for you, but we're getting closer!  And your nursery is finally in the works now that the guest room in the basement is finished.  I'll post pictures once it's up and ready for you!  For now, keep kicking in there, I love every minute of it.  :)

Hiccups!

You had your first bout of hiccups at 3:30am this morning!  :)  I was having trouble sleeping anyway, so your hiccups didn't wake me up, they simply gave me some entertainment while I lay there awake.  It was the sweetest string of consistent little jerks in my belly.  I'm not sure you enjoyed it quite as much as I did, though, you were kicking pretty hard, as if in frustration.  Don't worry, little one, it's totally normal, and I look forward to the next time you share them with me again, no matter what time of day!

Morning Dance Routine

For the past few days I've been awakened by a little jig you've been doing in my belly around 3:30-4:00am.  I can't complain too much.  I love that only you and I share this special time together.  Sometimes you'll play with me too - you kick, I push back, you kick again, and the game repeats.  I'm exhausted by mid-afternoon, but I can't help but smile a weary smile knowing that these sleepless mornings are our own secret time together.  :)
